This time the excuse ran out: the site is up, it costs almost nothing, and publishing a post is one command.

How it’s built

The whole thing is static. Posts are Markdown files, Hugo turns them into plain HTML, and the result sits in a private S3 bucket behind CloudFront. There’s no server, no database, and no JavaScript framework.

Piece

What it does

Monthly cost

S3

Stores the files

A few cents

CloudFront

Serves them fast, over HTTPS

Free tier

ACM

The TLS certificate

Free

Route 53

DNS for kondala.info

$0.50

Even the video at the top of the homepage is about 300 KB, generated with
ffmpeg
from a couple of color gradients.

About

Hi, I’m Pranav. I’m a go-to-market specialist for cloud networking at Amazon Web Services.

As a Senior Business Developer in AWS networking, I work on how our connectivity services reach customers and partners: shaping the go-to-market motion, building partner relationships, and helping enterprises map their network strategy onto AWS. I’m the bridge between what the service can do and why it matters to the business buying it.

Go-to-market

My background is technical, which is what makes the go-to-market work click. I can sit with a network architect in the morning and a partner’s sales leadership in the afternoon and speak both languages.
